Jute Bäckerei

100 % bread - 0 % gluten

Everyone has the right to enjoy taste - that's the motto of Jute Bäckerei in a nutshell. Freda and Friedrich Gilsa, who founded Berlin's first gluten-free bakery with the Juten Bakery, are also true connoisseurs. After all, enjoyment doesn't require gluten, but rather good ideas and the joy of experimentation. You can see for yourself that these experiments are successful seven days a week at Freda and Friedrich.

It all started with Friedrich's gluten intolerance. However, the search for a bakery with baked goods that were both delicious and gluten-free proved difficult. So they decided to make it themselves. The result is impressive and also appeals to people for whom gluten is not an obstacle. The Jute Bäckerei brings a breath of fresh air to the Berlin bakery landscape. With breads, rolls and sweet baked goods made from corn, rice, millet or buckwheat, it offers a wide range of products. Berlin's first gluten-free bakery and café can be found on Schönhauser Allee in Prenzlauer Berg.
