WerksAtelier

High-quality wooden accessories made from waste wood

The WerksAtelier is one of the many creative spaces on the BLO site in Lichtenberg. Scraps of wood, which would otherwise end up in the fire, are given a second life here: as artistic wooden rings, decorative wooden knife handles and more.

A small, unassuming piece of wood from the firewood corner or wood scraps from the bow maker next door awaits an astonishing transformation in the WerksAtelier. Using a combination of time-honoured craftsmanship tradition and innovative, self-developed equipment, beautiful creations are made here from natural materials.

The wooden rings impress with their clever design: They are manufactured using a moulded wood technique, which makes them particularly stable and their surface very smooth. Furthermore, each ring is truly unique. The WerksAtelier also manufactures wooden ring savers for optimum storage of the high-quality rings. Another popular product are the beautifully designed wooden pocket knives.

And last but not least, you can also learn how to make great accessories from leftover wood at the WerksAtelier. Professionals will show you in various workshops how to make rings, knives, aroma charms and bracelets, for example.
