The city of Berlin hosts numerous Christmas markets every year. On the first Advent, the outdoor area of the Hanff's Ruh restaurant is also transformed into a magical place full of love, peace and Christmas magic. The time of reflection is ushered in and the excitement in the air is palpable.

Homemade gifts to give away and spread joy

Here at the Advent market in Köpenick, there is plenty of handicraft to marvel at: From lamps to different sized murals, from jewellery and knitwear to Christmas flower arrangements, birdhouses, key rings and much more. Everyone will find something here - even the little ones: Mice made of spelt, cuddly toys and Christmas cots will make children's eyes sparkle.

Delicacies from our own production

The Advent market offers a large repertoire of egg, cherry and herb liqueurs and a wide variety of jams to give away, not only for people who appreciate handicrafts, but also for food lovers. 
For those who like a snack in between, there are bratwurst, kale, waffles and hot drinks at reasonable prices.

For the little guests

In addition to the magic of the scent of fir trees, the smell of candied apples and the sound of Christmas music, little Christmas lovers can let their creativity run wild at the craft stall of the Schreber Youth.

Our tips for your visit to Hanff's Ruh Christmas Market

Hanff's Ruh offers a cosy place for a day out. There are numerous opportunities for beautiful walks all around, for instance along the Dahme river. Ice skating is also a popular option. 

Opening hours and entry

• Date 2 and 3 December 2023
• Opening hours Saturday from 12 noon to 8 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Entry - Free of charge

Directions

It takes about an hour to reach Hanff's Ruh Christmas Market from Berlin's Mitte district by public transport, but you can easily combine it with a nice outing, for example to go ice skating at Strandbad Grünau.

• Take the S-Bahn S46 / S47 to Grünau, then tram 68 in the direction of Alt-Schmöckwitz to Regattastraße/Sportpromenade.
