Christmas Market in Berlin from 15 November to 23 December 2023
At "Gestrandet" on Jannowitzbrücke, Berlin's queer community comes together to celebrate a contemplative and creative festival. Inspired by the diversity and wealth of imagination at work in the LGBTQ+ scene, the festival combines time-honoured Christmas traditions with the peaceful and humorous self-expression of queer people.
To mark the opening on 15 November, this special Christmas fair will kick off with a big party. The party starts at 4:30 pm. While the Ukrainian DJane LADY $UKA spins the magic of her music, you can marvel at art installations and shop at stalls selling creative items from queer producers. On top of that, there will be the obligatory mulled wine, street food and creative drinks.
The programme is full of humour and fun. Each week brings a different activity. On Wednesdays, you can take part in a candle-making workshop. The candle motifs might be a little naughty. On Sundays, the Queer Winterwunderland invites you to a flea market. In December, you will have the opportunity to find potential soulmates at the Tuesday "Singles Night". DJs play music throughout and keep the mood upbeat.
Give yourself and your family another very special moment of anticipation for Christmas in Berlin with a glittering Christmas show or a festive concert. We have the most beautiful Christmas events for you. Plan an extraordinary evening after your visit to the Christmas market.
Christmas Events in Berlin
The Queer Winterwunderland prides itself as a safe space where people can let their authentic personality unfold. Everyone is welcome here.
You can find numerous bars and clubs just a short distance from the Queer Winterwunderland. You can start Berlin's nightlife right from here at the weekend. The Holzmarkt, which also beckons visitors with its Christmas-decorated stalls during Advent, is also just a 15-minute walk away.
The Queer Winterwunderland takes place at “Gestrandet” at Jannowitzbrücke directly on the banks of the Spree. We recommend using public transport to get there.
