Spandau is home to one of the most unusual diving spots in the world: the Tauchturm Berlin, a diving tower operated by Deutsche Lebens-Rettungs-Gesellschaft e.V. (DLRG), the German lifeguards' association.
Sport and professional divers can simulate diving to depths of 50 metres in the tower. A team of professionals is there to provide support for every athlete. If you want to dive here, you first need to have ten dives at ten metres' depth behind you. You can do that at one of Berlin's lakes.
