Von Kaya Tina Büttner

Yuna is in 6a, but since she lost her mother, she hates school. She doesn't want any more friends. Because everyone is suddenly so different to her. Her father is also annoying and acts as if he is always in a good mood. Only with her imaginary friend Jerome is everything the same as it used to be.

On her secret journeys she can forget everything. One day Max unexpectedly enters her life in the schoolyard and just won't leave. And he asks questions. About Yuna's home, her mother's death and about Jerome. But Max also has his problems: especially with his two big brothers and his parents, who are constantly arguing with each other.

Gradually, the two children discover what they have in common and draw courage from their friendship. Max tries to stand up to his brothers and Yuna faces her grief.
