Many know her from the ARD Ladies Night and from the tours with Gerburg Jahnke: Frieda Braun now has fans in many regions of Germany. Now the quirky Sauerland woman is presenting her solo program "Sprechpause".

Frieda and her "splinter group" - a total of 11 established women - have decided to spend seven days in a hostel this year instead of a city tour. And in silence!

However, the silence seminar, intended for inner contemplation, proves to be a test of nerves for Frieda. Even the all-too-healthy breakfast with goat's cheese and mysterious "seed mixture" is met with astonishment. When, during the subsequent meditation, loud stomach noises tear up the silence, concentration is over.

Burst: Thekla's rendezvous

Frieda's friend Thekla uses the week of silence to process a personal disappointment: During a concert by the adored star violinist André Rieu, she fell in love with a stranger from the audience. But the delicate ties are suddenly severed when “Horst” throws himself into a chair with his beloved, which proves to be an inferior plagiarism from China under this stress test.

Cashed in: Wichbert's driver's license

While their wives devote themselves to silence, Erwin and the other husbands who are left behind use the free time to pursue their hobbies. Wichbert, whose driver's license was revoked after a "two-component error" in road traffic, is driven by the desire to bring more mobility into the home. He even tampers with the nativity scene.

Erotic: an evening at Viola Viola

Frieda's new neighbor takes the erotic film "Fifty shades of gray" as an opportunity to surprise Frieda and her unsuspecting friends with a hot evening. One thing is clear to the women: "Our men must not know anything about it". Frieda also approaches the topic of eroticism in the program Sprecherpause with her own delicious mixture of curiosity, embarrassment and indignation.

Delicious look at everyday situations: Big feet and devastating haircuts, sticky magnetic soles and inquisitive vacuum cleaner robots, men in linen shops and women in the clutches of skilled saleswomen: Frieda Braun's program "Sprechpause" is an entertaining and varied foray into (only sometimes exaggerated) everyday situations.
