Philharmonia Frankfurt under the direction of Juri Gilbo

On Saturday, September 7th, 2024, from 7:30 p.m., the traditional classical open-air will take place again in the open-air arena of the Gardens of the World under the motto “Limitless Sounds”. The Philharmonia Frankfurt, under the direction of chief conductor Juri Gilbo, will present classical masterpieces from different parts of the world.

Viva la musica - Limitless sounds

The Philharmonia Frankfurt orchestra, founded in 2019, reflects the diversity of Frankfurt society in its international cast. The ensemble members come from various European countries, South America, Asia, Australia as well as Israel and Turkey. It is an intercultural group of artists whose common language is music. The warm sound of the legendary Eastern European string school merges with the precision and virtuosity of the Western European wind tradition to create an unmistakable sound.

The conductor Juri Gilbo, born in St. Petersburg in 1968, with German-Russian-Ukrainian roots, is equally influenced by the musical traditions of both Eastern and Western Europe. He has long been one of the most exciting talents of his generation of conductors. After the musical highlights, the audience can also expect a breathtaking fireworks display that lights up the summer evening.
