The immersive exhibition in Berlin about Gustav Klimt
A special art experience awaits you at the premiere of this new exhibition. For the first time, this immersive exhibition presents the life and work of the Art Nouveau pioneer Gustav Klimt in a fascinating and moving multimedia show in three acts. Join an exciting journey through time - and experience where art meets the modern technology.
Klimts Kiss - An Immersive Story
The immersive exhibition "Klimts Kuss" tells you about the life of the genius artist - a game with fire - as an immersive show. Before the show begins, you will be introduced to the most important stages in the life of the famous painter. Using digital effects, you can interact with Klimt's art and become part of his masterful paintings and works yourself. During the subsequent show experience in three acts, you will be completely immersed in the artist's world. Illusion becomes reality as animations and projections, in combination with music and acoustic effects, create intoxicating, ornamental worlds of colour and let you bring Klimt and his work impressively alive and tangible.
A young present-day student and Emilie Flöge (1874-1952), Klimt's companion and muse at the time, will take you through the unique show in a fictitious dialogue and take you on a journey back in time to Vienna around 1900. The two women narrate and comment on Klimt's successes, scandals, tragedies and love affairs. From a female perspective, the women take a critical look at the "painter of women": are his works timeless depictions of feminine beauty or does Klimt show women as objects of desire? In addition to his portraits of women, female allegories and landscape paintings, the Viennese painter achieved world fame above all with his painting "The Kiss".
