Let's go to the Christmas fair in Spandau. Here, stalls and rides shine in a colourful glow of lights. The smell of mulled wine, roasted almonds and freshly baked waffles is in the air. 

The Family Wonderland on the Alte Post grounds opposite the Spandauer Arcaden invites young and old to a Christmas party with lots of attractions.

Those who can hardly wait for Christmas will be pleased to know that Winterzauber Berlin opens its season as early as 21 November. This makes the Family Wonderland in Spandau one of the first Christmas markets in Berlin.

Our tip for your visit to the Winter Wonderland

Combine your visit to the Family Wonderland with a stroll through Spandau's Old Town. The Spandauer Christmas Market  is also within walking distance. And if you're in the mood for some history, you can stroll through the old town in about 20 minutes to the Spandau Citadel, one of the best-preserved Renaissance buildings in Europe.

• Date: from 17 November 2023 to 1 January 2024
• Opening hours: Monday to Thursday 2pm to 9pm, Friday and Saturday 2pm to 10pm, Sunday & Holidays 1pm to 9pm. The Christmas Market will be closed on 26 November and 24 December 2023.
• Admission: free

Directions

From Alexanderplatz you can reach the Family Wonderland in about 40 minutes by taking the S3 or S9. If you take the ICE for part of the journey, you'll be in Spandau in less than half an hour.
