Tempelhofer Feld is located on the former site of Tempelhof Airport. Since the closure of the airport in 2010, the area, which covers more than 450 soccer fields, has become a popular place to stay, meeting place and playground for young and old.

Almost anything is possible here: walking, picnicking, jogging, biking, playing ball, kite flying, kiting, skating, mini golf, yoga, barbecuing, community gardening, bird watching, taking a break, gazing at the sky and much more.
The old flight paths are suitable as runways for driving, running, gliding. One lap around the entire Tempelhofer Feld is just under six kilometers long.
The meadows are places for human and animal visitors. Foxes, skylarks, hawks and other urban wildlife can be observed very well from here.
The atmosphere at sunset is overwhelming.
In the middle of the city offers a horizon!
At the edge of the field, visitors:inside can get snacks and drinks at the snack stands. Free toilets are available.
Tempelhofer Feld is a guarded park with park regulations and opening hours.
Additional information
The opening hours of Tempelhofer Feld depend on the season. After the end of the respective opening time, the entrances are closed. After that, the Tempelhofer Feld can be left at the main entrances through revolving gates.

January 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, February 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, March 6:00 am - 7:00 pm, April 6:00 am - 8:30 pm, May 6:00 am - 9:30 pm, June 6:00 am - 10:30 pm, July 6:00 am - 10:30 pm, August 6:00 am - 9:30 pm, September 6:00 am - 8:30 pm, October 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, November 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, December 7:30 am - 5:00 pm.
Accessibility
The three main entrances to Tempelhofer Feld and the southern entrance on Oderstraße (Crashgate) are barrier-free.
Likewise, all toilet facilities (with the exception of the sanitary building near the main entrance Columbiadamm) are wheelchair accessible.
At the main entrances Columbiadamm and Oderstraße, individual parking spaces are reserved on public roads for people with disabilities (additional parking space sign 1044-10).
