Berlin's tallest open air gallery
You already can see them from far away: The dazzling artworks are up to 42 Meters high and decorate the walls of eight high-rise buildings located in the immediate vicinity of Tegeler See. Artpark Tegel is a unique place with stunning art. Urban art in Berlin under the open sky. Here, international artists have created huge murals, each one as unique as its Berlin neighborhood.
In addition to murals by Berlin based artists like Jim Avignon, you can see works by international street art legends like "the London Police". Furthermore, young artists like the so-called "Australian Banksy" Fintan Magee, have left their mark at Artpark Tegel. Each single one of the artists have an international background and a wide reputation. You can find their artwork all over the world.
When the neighborhood becomes a work of art
In 2015, the first mural was created at Arpark Tegel. Since then, new ones have been added; others already disappeared. Client and initiator of the open-air art project is the "Stiftung Berliner Leben", which was founded by the housing association Gewobag. Together with the URBAN NATION Museum for Contemporary Art – they implemented the street art project ONE WALL in Tegel Süd.
The idea behind the project is to support the community with the painted murals, to strengthen the sense of connection to one's own neighbourhood. Most residents welcome the artists and their works. However, there is always a difference of opinion when art and public space collide. Just see for yourself!

Tip: If the weather is nice, you can go for a lovely walk in the area. Simply start or end your tour at beautiful Tegeler See. Parallel to the Borsigdamm runs a path, which connects the 70s neighbourhood with the Greenwich Promenade. If you just want to visit the Artpark Tegel we recommend to take the U6 to Holzhauser Straße. From here, you can catch the bus (133 in the direction of Tegel-Süd or X33 in the direction of Rathaus Spandau) to Kamener Weg or walk the approximately 20 minutes. All eight murals are located in close proximity to each other.
