The KISTE offers within one house cultural offers for different age groups and sees itself as a youth and cultural center.

The facility is conveniently located right next to the Hellersdorf subway and hosts cinema events, concerts, readings and small exhibitions. In addition to a varied independent cinema programme for adults, there is also a regular children's film programme, which has received an award for one of the best children's film theatres in Germany.
In the summer months, the Biesdorf park stage in the Schlosspark Biesdorf has also been looked after for several years. Concerts and open-air cinema events are organized and carried out there.
