Museum Lichtenberg in the Stadthaus

700 year old history in the historic town hall

The Museum Lichtenberg is more than just a museum. As an information, cultural and educational centre, it invites visitors to view, explore and discuss the history and present of Lichtenberg from different perspectives. One building block of the museum is the new permanent exhibition, which will open in 2021. Its aim is to enable equal cultural participation. The museum is open to change and invites its visitors to become active, to get involved and to help shape the future of the museum.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, changing special exhibitions and events present particular aspects of the district. The museum also has an extensive archive with documents, contemporary testimonies, objects and photos as well as a reference library.
