Bezirksmuseum Marzahn-Hellersdorf

Regional museum illustrating the history of the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district

The district museum Marzahn-Hellersdorf invites visitors with ever changing exhibitions, guided tours, educational projects, events and publications to dive right into the history of the location and its various city quarters. At the former village school building on the village square, built in 1911/12, visitors get a glimpse at the history of this district from its earliest settlements around 11,000 years ago to today’s modern suburban living. The museums main focus lies on the social and everyday history of the villages and settlement areas since the mid-19th century, and the suburban living complexes with their industrial designs.
