What did our world look like 150 million years ago? In the central atrium, the Museum of Natural History displays fossils of animals and plants from the late Jurassic period.

Many of the objects on display come from one of the most important palaeontological expeditions on Tendaguru Hill, in present-day Tanzania. It is the most successful dinosaur excavation of all times. Even today, the finds of this expedition are still the focus of the museum's research.
