The Plötzensee Memorial Center commemorating the victims of National Socialism is a European site of quiet remembrance. From 1933 to 1945, more than 2,800 people unjustly sentenced to death by the National Socialist judiciary were executed here.

They included more than 1,400 Germans and more than 1,400 other people from over 20 other nations. Many of them were political opponents of the National Socialist dictatorship, like the members of the Red Orchestra, the Kreisau Circle, the attempted coup of July 20, 1944, or other resistance groups and circles.
However, there were also victims sentenced to death by the German justice system for petty misdemeanors and executed.
Many foreign prisoners from the occupied European countries were killed here.Today, the execution chamber is a memorial.
The permanent exhibition in the room adjoining it commemorates all victims of the unjust Nazi justice system murdered here.
A computer terminal presents information on all those murdered in Plötzensee.
