Christmas Market in Berlin on 10 December 2023
A contemplative Advent market with romantic bonfires, great hands-on activities for children and teenagers and Christmas music in the parish church.
Altglienicke first appears in the middle of the 14th century by name as "Glinik" or "Glynike" and thus belongs to the oldest settlement areas of the borough of Treptow-Köpenick.
At more than 25 stands, regional institutions, associations and independent traders offer art, handicrafts and gift ideas, Advent arrangements, wood crafts, handmade soaps and much more for sale and inform about their work.
While ambling around the Christmas market you can enjoy a variety of dishes and warm up with mulled wine by the numerous small bonfires.
For children and teenagers there are many hands-on activities in the youth meeting place such as group singing, handicrafts or baking and a musical programme rounds off the Christmas hustle and bustle.
After your visit to the Altglienicke Advent market take a look at the water tower, the landmark of Altglienicke or the Gartenstadt Falkenberg , a housing estate in the style of Berlin Modernism.
Altglienicke is located in the borough of Treptow-Köpenick in the southeast of Berlin not far from Schöneberg Airport. The Altglienicke Advent market takes place around the Altglienicke Protestant parish church. We recommend travelling by public transport.
