Weihnachtshaus in the Villa Donnersmarck

This year the Weihnachtshaus (Christmas house) once again moves into Villa Donnersmarck in Zehlendorf. The Fürst Donnersmarck Foundation invites all Berliners and guests to the city to enjoy a contemplative afternoon with hands-on activities and a cultural programme.

Villa Donnersmarck is an inclusive forum for people living with a disability and other active Berliners. Everyone is welcome here. The villa was opened in 1962 by the Fürst Donnersmarck Foundation and today offers leisure activities in inclusive groups as well as educational and counselling opportunities in Zehlendorf.

Special gift ideas

Of note in the Weihnachtshaus in the Villa Donnersmarck: the lovingly made gift ideas, such as handicrafts, jewellery, children’s toys and much more, are all made in Berlin workshops for people with disabilities or by the handicraft groups of the Villa Donnersmarck. You will discover unique Christmas gifts and in so doing support the social institutions.

Campfire bread and other delicacies

For those wanting a bite to eat, the villa offers coffee and homemade cakes, soups, roasted almonds and other delicacies. Make sure to try the mulled wine and punch too. You can also bake your own bread at various fire baskets.

Hands-on activities for young and old

If you would like to get creative yourself, then you can let off steam by taking part in the hands-on activities for both young and old. Make personal Christmas cards or decorate gingerbread houses with all kinds of sweet treats. You can also play games at the games station or explore the house on a puzzle tour. Fun for the whole family!

Contemplative cultural programme

Christmas music from the glass grand piano and a contemplative cultural programme with Christmas choir and tower trumpeters round off the festive programme in the Weihnachtshaus.
