For those with a big or small appetite, the Nordische Märchenweihnacht at Schloss Britz offers sweet treats such asroasted almonds, gingerbread, apple fritters and crêpes as well as hearty delicacies such as lángos fried bread, garlic bread, flat cakes, spicy barbecued meat and soups. You can warm yourself up with mulled wine, medieval spiced wine, hot cherry wine, hot quince mead and the Scandinavian mulled punch Glögi, while hot elder juice is offered for children.
Great entertainment will be provided with a diverse stage programme: the snow queen with her trolls, Frau Holle, winter spirits and other wondrous creatures come along and the Cocolorus Budenzauber travelling theatre performs its fairy tale plays especially for children. Live Christmas music, light and shadow theatre and an impressive fire show round off the medieval Christmas spectacle.
Here children can run riot in the medieval adventure playground offering bow and crossbow shooting, axe and knife throwing as well as large Viking boats on which children can climb. The large hand-operated music box, a dragon hammer and a wooden water wheel are also worth seeing and trying out.
Combine your stay at Schloss Britz during the Nordische Märchenweihnacht with a visit to the Museum Neukölln or take a look at the famous Hufeisensiedlung housing estate, built in the style of Berlin Modernism in 1925.
The Nordische Märchenweihnacht at Schloss Britz is located in the Britz district of Neukölln. Since parking options are somewhat limited, we recommend using public transport.
