St. Nicholas Market in Berlin on 29 November 2023
The inclusive Nikolausmarkt takes place every year in the entrance hall of the over 100-year-old Charlottenburg Town Hall.
The Nikolausmarkt at the Charlottenburg Town Hall is the absolute insider’s tip for special gift ideas. In 2022, the Social Affairs Department once again invites you to linger and discover the small Christmas market in the entrance hall of the Charlottenburg Town Hall.
The Nikolausmarkt has been in existence since 2007. Workshops and kitchens run by educational and employment providers who are committed to integrating people into the labour market and who offer employment to people who do not have access to it otherwise because of a disability or mental illness sell their products in a cordial atmosphere.
From homemade wooden toys and ceramics, pictures, fabric and felt work, soaps and candles to homemade jam and biscuits, you will find many special gift ideas for yourself and your loved ones here.
Your hunger will be satiated with barbecued sausages and punch.
You will also have the opportunity to talk to the organisers and non-profit organisations and find out about the work of the Social Affairs Department and its exciting projects.
Combine your visit to the Nikolausmarkt at the Charlottenburg Town Hall with a visit to the Keramik-Museum, the Berggruen Museum or the Bröhan-Museum or visit the beautiful Christmas market at Charlottenburg Palace.
All products of the Christmas market come from workshops and kitchens of educational and employment institutions. People with disabilities are integrated into the labour market here. The proceeds go to the workshops for people with disabilities.
The Nikolausmarkt takes place in the entrance hall of the Charlottenburg Town Hall on Otto-Suhr-Allee, not far from Richard-Wagner-Platz in the borough of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. We recommend travelling by public transport.
