Key Visual, Sample Music Festival 2024
Instrumental work with audio samples is an essential part of today's music culture.
What used to be played on guitars or drum kits is now for many a turntable or MIDI controller. Since 2015, the Sample Music Festival has been one of the most significant events for the resulting forms of playing such as turntablism, finger drumming, live beat making, and controllerism.
Every year, international top artists gather in Berlin at the Sample Music Festival to showcase the latest trends through live competitions, showcases, and workshops. Well-known audio industry manufacturers showcase their products, and music producers offer workshops on mixing & mastering, songwriting, social media, and publishing.
Attendees of the 5-day gathering will be able to engage in interactive activities and musical gatherings alongside individuals who share their interests. The focal point of the festivity will be the DMC Championship, an esteemed DJ competition, along with the Finger Drumming World Championship, featuring talented participants from 12 nations. Furthermore, we are excited to announce the inaugural DJ & Music Production Competition for electronic music, held in collaboration with the Berlin Dance Music Event and a well-regarded panel of judges, including DJ Motte.
