roaring 1920s with Max Raabe & Palast Orchester. Hosted by the
elegant Admiralspalast, this event combines nostalgia, humour and
timeless music. Running from 17 February to 2 March 2025, the concert breathes
new life into classic German hits through poetic lyrics and masterful
performances.

With their new programme, Hummel Streicheln (Stroking Bumblebees), the ensemble weaves together whimsical stories and melodies from the past century for a delightful blend of nostalgia and modernity.   

Skits, witty commentary and the enchanting sounds of 1920s and 1930s German dance music provide for an all-round theatrical experience. Max Raabe's charismatic stage presence and the orchestra's flawless execution create a performance that feels both timeless and fresh.  

This year's programme features songs that reflect on life's missed moments, dreamlike narratives and a playful longing to turn back time. The setting of the Admiralspalast, one of Berlin's most well-known venues from the early 20th century, perfectly complements the music, making you feel as though you've stepped into a different era.

Discover Max Raabe & Palast Orchester

Max Raabe's career began in the 1980s when, as a young opera student, he and his friends formed the Palast Orchester to revive Germany's Golden Twenties music. Their big break came with the cheeky hit Kein Schwein ruft mich an in 1992, which propelled them onto international stages, including New York's Carnegie Hall.   

Over the decades, Max Raabe & Palast Orchester have become cultural icons, known for their ability to bridge past and present through their music and storytelling. Returning to Berlin feels like a homecoming, and performing at the Admiralspalast – a venue steeped in history – makes the experience even more special.
