The next EMOP Berlin - EUROPEAN MONTH OF PHOTOGRAPHY BERLIN will take place in March 2025. Under the motto ‘was zwischen uns steht’ (what stands between us), the EMOP Berlin 2025 provides a space for observations, experiences, expectations, hopes and fears regarding various conflict situations. The aim is to use images to counter the ongoing mechanisms of polarisation with dialogue.

Every two years since 2004, Germany's largest photography festival has presented the entire spectrum of historical and contemporary photography in Berlin. Museums, cultural institutions, galleries, project spaces, embassies and photography schools in Berlin and Potsdam present numerous exhibition projects and events, selected by a jury of experts.
The formats range from outdoor exhibitions and large museum presentations, to individual and group presentations in galleries and project spaces, to impressive contributions from many foreign cultural institutes and embassies, as well as the municipal art and culture departments.
