Arcangelo Corelli is one of the most popular composers of all time. Even during his lifetime, he was a legend and a role model for many young musicians. Outside of Italy, he had the greatest impact in England, where his veneration took on religious overtones and was referred to as the "Corellian Cult." A baroque pop star.

No wonder that the Berlin musicians Leila Schoeneich and Sabine Erdmann found their musical mentor in him. For them, baroque music is not an exquisite event, but rather entertainment music in the best sense, whether in the concert hall, in church, or even open air. Their instruments, recorder and harpsichord, are sometimes given electronic enhancements. A Corelli superstar would certainly have enjoyed that.
