Children's Kitchen Cable TV - Female Rage After the successful campaign against Troy, Odysseus gets lost in further adventures on his return to Ithaca.

Penelope fears for her husband for twenty years. Forced into the role of the eternally waiting and faithful wife and harassed by numerous suitors who want to take Odysseus' place, the Queen of Ithaca takes refuge at her loom to turn her thoughts into a shroud.

Many centuries later, four women take up the thread and try to untangle these thoughts. As the shroud disintegrates into its individual parts, questions arise about ideals of beauty, motherhood, politics, abuse of power and oppression.

In doing so, it reveals the image of the passive, waiting woman, who is essentially the origin of a resistance that is still active today. Resistance against a male-dominated world, resistance against the tight corset of society.

"Female Rage" is a work about life as a woman, about human rights, about exhaustion and about anger across generations.
