The crucible of Germany’s comedy talent
At the Quatsch Comedy Club, well-known veterans meet undiscovered talent. Be the jury and crown the up-and-coming comedians.
This is comedy as it should be: uncensored, up close and, above all, live!
A punchline in advance: originally, the Quatsch Comedy Club is not a Berlin original at all. But since Thomas Hermanns brought the comedy format to the capital, it has simply become part of Berlin like the currywurst. The fact that you have to go down to the basement of the Friedrichstadt-Palast to laugh gives you an idea of how shrewdly the host selects the stage talent.
A host and four comedians provide plenty of gags! Whether comedy legends or newcomers, the constantly changing cast always presents something new. The "colourful bag" has been around for 30 years: Every week the comedians are chosen anew.
This is new: Every Saturday evening you can expect 70 minutes of pure late-night fun with a host and three comedians! The new crisp late-night format of the Quatsch Comedy Club.
Many well-known comedians owe their career start to the Quatsch Comedy Hot Shot - e.g. Felix Lobrecht, Ben Schmid, Tobias Freudenthal, Lisa Feller, Chris Tall and last but not least Cindy aus Marzahn. Once a month on Sundays, up to 10 comedy newcomers face the audience's judgement. The three best young talents of the evening are judged by applause. Each has just under six minutes to win the favour of the audience. Whoever is voted the audience favourite three times receives the Golden Ticket and is allowed to perform in the legendary Quatsch Comedy Club Live Show!
