Take advantage of the summer opening times of major museums on Museum Island: The special exhibition "Caspar David Friedrich. Infinite Landscapes" in the Alten Nationalgalerie is open until 28 July, Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9 am to 8 pm and Sundays from 9 am to 6 pm. The Neue Museum and the James-Simon-Galerie are open from 4 July to 1 September. July to 1 September, Tuesdays to Saturdays from 9am to 8pm.
Tip: Visit the Neues Museum and the James Simon Gallery in the morning or evening and get tickets at a special price! More information on the museums' websites.
New Museums in Berlin
In the last 12 months, the Deutschlandmuseum and the Fotografiska have opened their doors in Berlin and the Charité Medical History Museum is once again inviting visitors to discover 300 years of medical history, completely renovated and with new exhibitions.

- The Käthe Kollwitz Museum Berlin has moved to the theatre building at Charlottenburg Palace.
- At the old location in Fasanenstraße, you will now find the new Exilmuseum Workshop: it invites you to find out more about the future Exilmuseum at Anhalter Bahnhof and to get involved. It is due to be inaugurated in 2026.
